Dustin Buchert
General Manager
Dustin is one of the founders and is the General Manager at Absolute Adjusting. He attended Ridgewater College and graduated with a degree in Auto Body Collision Repair and also completed their course in Advanced Collision Services where he focused on appraisals and management. While attending Ridgewater College, Dustin was classmates with both Mitch and Derek, where they soon became friends.
As the General Manager of Absolute Adjusting, Dustin oversees all day-to-day activities, dispatch, and quality control. During his downtime, Dustin enjoys pheasant hunting on his families’ farm near Marshall, MN, attending sporting events, and traveling.
Bill Nistler
Assistant Manager
Bill is one of the founders of Absolute Adjusting and assists in day-to-day operations as well as inspections. He attended Ridgewater College and graduated from the Insurance Claims Representative program in May 2005. During his time at Ridgewater, he gained knowledge in appraising damages to automobiles, homes, and understanding policy language.
Bill got his start with an independent adjusting company in the fall of 2005 as an appraiser, doing both auto and specialty claims. In his free time, he enjoys time at the lake, hunting, and being active outdoors.

Derek Schramm
Adjuster
Derek is the longest-tenured employee and the first Appraiser hired at Absolute Adjusting. After graduating with a degree in Auto Body Collision Technology at Ridgewater College in 2002, he accepted a position as a body technician at a local dealership. Derek joined Absolute Adjusting in May of 2012 covering much of Central Minnesota and primarily handling Heavy Equipment, Boats, Campers, and everything in between. Derek enjoys spending time with his wife, Ashleigh, and their three boys, Kiptyn, Kaisyn, and Kreityn. During his free time, he enjoys riding a motorcycle, recreational motorsports, snowmobile, and anything else with a motor.
Jeff Kidman
Adjuster
Jeff has been a part of the Absolute Adjusting team since 2013 where he started out appraising autos and heavy equipment. His role has evolved over time and along with field inspections, he also assists in training employees, reviewing reports, and implementing the highest of quality that we strive to be known for. Jeff grew up on a family dairy farm and now resides on an acreage in rural Southwest Minnesota. In his free time, he enjoys bow hunting, fishing, golfing, and spending time with family, and raising his daughter Bailey with his girlfriend, Samantha.
Nathan Gustafson
Adjuster
Nate joined Absolute Adjusting in August 2014 as a Field Appraiser. He covers the Northern Minnesota lakes area and is based out of Nevis, MN. Nate received his B.A. in History and Business from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN. Originally from Roseau, MN, Nate grew up working with his dad at an auto parts store. He spent much of his time around automotive repair shops and later as a Service Advisor at a marine dealership. In his free time Nate enjoys being the President of the Walker Youth Hockey Association, hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time with his wife, Heidi, and their two children, Liam and Lynden.
Cory Brinkman
Adjuster
Cory joined the team in June of 2016 as an Appraiser covering the Duluth and Northern Minnesota areas. Cory graduated from WyoTech with a degree in Autobody repair and Refinishing and a minor in Upholstery. He previously worked as a Body Tech and Painter before joining Absolute Adjusting. Cory enjoys spending time with his wife, Tara, and their English Mastiff, Lily, friends, hunting, ice fishing, camping, and 4-wheeling.
Anthony Bean
Adjuster
Anthony joined our staff in March 2018 as an appraiser covering the Twin Cities Metro. Holding a degree in Automotive Services from Hennepin Technical College and 15 years of experience in the body shop business, Anthony provides a complete range of claims adjusting from automobiles, recreational vehicles, heavy equipment etc. Anthony enjoys interacting with customers and assisting them through the claim process.
In his free time, Anthony enjoys spending time with his wife, Amanda, and their cats, Caleb, and Chloe. Anthony has had a fascination with vehicles since his early years. You may often find him browsing the internet for that special vehicle that might catch his eye. A rare vehicle is always intriguing to him.

Dustin Bak
Adjuster
Dustin joined Absolute Adjusting in November of 2016. Dustin currently resides in Red Lake Falls, Minnesota with his wife. He covers a large area of Northwestern Minnesota. He previously worked in the auto industry as an automotive technician, service manager and body shop manager for the past 10 years prior to joining our staff. He enjoys spending his free time hunting, fishing and other outdoor activities.
Scott Castillo Jr.
Adjuster
Scott joined the team at Absolute Adjusting in the summer of 2018. Scott attended Ridgewater College in Willmar earning a degree in Auto Body Collision Repair in 2007. He covers the Twin Cities metro area but is also willing to help wherever needed. During Scott’s free time he enjoys spending it with his wife, Kari, and son, Sawyer. Scott is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys the shooting sports.
Luke Butze
Adjuster
Luke began working with Absolute Adjusting in September of 2018. He has been in the Auto Industry since 2007 when he started in sales. He later transitioned into an Estimator at a local dealership’s body shop where he was able to hone his interpersonal skills and gain automobile collision assessment knowledge. Luke values a strong work ethic, dedication, and continues to pursue personal and professional growth. Luke covers the Southeast metro area and into Western Wisconsin. Luke enjoys sports, but mostly enjoys spending free time with friends and family.
Kay Thompson
Office Manager/Bookkeeper
Kay joined Absolute Adjusting in February of 2019. She has a degree in Business Management and in Accounting. Kay helps run the day-to-day operations at Absolute Adjusting and makes sure the office is running smoothly. Kay grew up in North Mankato, Minnesota, and currently resides in Mankato, Minnesota with her husband and two cats. In her free time, she enjoys bike riding, spending time at the lake on their jet ski, and being outdoors as much as possible.
Steve Reid
Adjuster
Steve joined the Absolute Adjusting team in May of 2019 where he primarily covers the Central Minnesota area. He attended Ridgewater College and earned a degree in the Insurance Claims Representative program in 2010. Steve has been working as an Insurance Adjuster since graduating and has worked in numerous states before ultimately moving back to the Richmond, MN area. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing and boating around the Horseshoe Chain of lakes with his grandchildren.
Kyle Reedstrom
Adjuster
Kyle joined the staff in August of 2019 and covers south central Minnesota. Kyle graduated from Concordia – Saint Paul with a B.A. in Marketing Management. He started working right after graduation at a local body shop in Mankato as an Estimator. He worked there for many years before accepting a position with Absolute Adjusting as a Field Appraiser. Kyle grew up near Lake Crystal, MN and now lives in North Mankato with his wife and four kids. Outside of work, Kyle enjoys playing or watching sports, and spending time with his family.
Jon Streiff
Adjuster
Jon joined the team at Absolute Adjusting in August of 2017. He has been in the auto industry since 1997 and has held many positions over the years such as a Service Writer, managing a body shop and ultimately as an Independent Insurance Adjusting. Jon services the Southeast Minnesota area and into Wisconsin. Jon’s many hobbies include archery hunting, golfing, coaching youth sports, boating, his ‘68 Camaro, and spending time with his wife and 3 kids.
